silvamichaelda Nope, no WIFI required to get the vacuum operational out of the box. Simply press the power button on the unit itself, it will start the scanning the perimeter and clean accordingly. Wifi is used to connect the device to the Mi Home app, this essentially unlocks several features such as scheduling and zone cleanups.
