BasBzm In principle you see only the dot on the target. In a dusty environment, or when there is smoke or vapor in the air you can see the beam.

BasBzm Yes. Plug in the USB cable to the board and your pc or laptop. If the Arduino IDE software recognizes the port your board is on then you can start to program it. The board uses the CH374 UART to communicate with the pc and the driver should install itself automatically on Windows. If the driver is not installed refer to the arduino.cc site.

BasBzm Whatdo You use to drive the Matrix boards? I Guess it is like an Arduino? Try using an external powersource for the MAtrixboards and be sure to connect the Ground of the Matricboards to the Ground of the driving board.

BasBzm Doyou use 3.3V to 5 V converter? You can power the matrix from an independent 5 Volt source, but then make sure the Ground line is connected between the driving board (I gues you are using an Arduino) and the power-source of the Matrix.

BasBzm Itdoes not work directly on a Mac, you will have to use a program to program a board like the Arduino. The best way is to connect it to an Arduino and ude the example in the FasrLed library. Using some other board like Raspberry Pi is also possible.
