mikbaci The 18650 batteries discharge way more current than your transformer and are the one that get the device going. That is why your device does not power with the transformer . The Transformer is just there to keep the batteries charged. It is however not needed as your batteries once fully charged will last 9 month in the bell and all you have to do, is to charge the batteries once in a while. Also think from the security viewpoint if you just power it with mains the device can be cut off very easily and will not record any breaking or anyone trying to steal your packages by the door .
