Got a range if over 4km in a suburban setting between two Baofeng UV9RPlus radios on VHF. The base of the antenna is too big for the UV9R Plus so used a minitool to grind it to the correct size.

You do only get 2 pieces, not 8 like in the pic. Works well though.

Julian I can confirm this for the UV9RPlus as well. Doesn't fit without grinding.

Brilliant quality. Tested up to 4km in suburbs where I live. Could go even further as it was crystal clear. Excellent battery life with 2+ days on scanning. Still had 2 bars of battery left. Will l recommend to anyone.

I am super impressed with the quality of this radio. It is solid and has a really nice feel in the hand. Now just to get a phd to learn how to use it. Not sure what the battery rating is though.
