pvanhaaren Yes, multiple options to choose from, from multiple inputs (HDMI and DP). I.e. two inputs, left HDMI1 and right DP1. Or fullscreen HDMI1 and small window right below DP1.

pvanhaaren So far I know, there will not be an international version. All versions will be CN version with English display menu options. The power cable you receive will be AU compatible I assume. I received mine with NL compatible power cable.

pvanhaaren So far I know, Xiaomi has no plans to bring this monitor themself to the EU. Do you have a link for EU version? This 'Chinese' version has also English menu, so I would not know what differences there would be.

Q: I've got an old macbook pro retina display (2010) 60 hz, supporting 2 external monitors (max resolution 2560x1440). Considering the frequency (144hz) and the display resolution (3440x1440) of this screen, IS IT COMPATIBILE WITH MINE? is frequency and resolution downscale allowed? if so, do you recommend this operation?

pvanhaaren I assume that for Apple Macbook the maximum would be the same as the Intel (or AMD?) video chip. Can you check your video card type? If the maximum is indeed 2560x1440 you could use an external graphics card for higher resolutions and higher refresh rates.

Bought this Xiaomi Box S as replacement for my Xiaomi Box 3. They do not differ that much. One important change for me is that this runs Android 8.1 and the version 3 runs 8.0. The extra buttons on the remote are nice. We use a Logitech Ultimate remote and this does not support the (Bluetooth!) S, yet. The 3 is fully supported so I think Logitech will find a fix soon. They are working on it actively. The box is officially certified by Google for Android TV. That means you have official full 4K support for i.e. YouTube and Netflix. That is a big plus compared to many other Chinese Android boxes. The box has included Chromecast Ultra as well. So for a price less than a separate Chromecast Ultra, you buy this box and have both Chromecast and you can also select apps with the included remote or Google remote app. I made to buy an Apple TV4. It is much more expensive but does a very bad job on HDR! The black is just grey. On the Xiaomi black is really black. Our beamer is just FullHD (1920x1080) so can not tell anything about 4K quality. On FullHD it beats the Apple TV4 with much ease. One downside may be that it has just 8GB ram. It does have one USB port but that is version 2 not 3, so very slowly. Perfect for attaching remote mouse and keyboard, not for HDD or flash drive. They should just include a MicroSD slot. Wifi is very stable on 5G AC. That depends on your router also, off course. I suggest if you have mobile, tablet or other wifi problems you should buy a good router first. Very happy of this buy!
