I ordered this alarm clock mainly for its looks, and I am happy to say that indeed the clock meets my expectations in this respect. I've had it running for a few weeks now, using the USB cable, and I am very satisfied to see that the clock is running only a few seconds slow. As long as I set the clock correcly each time daylight saving time is enabled/disabled, it should never be off by more than 2 minutes. You can optionally install 4 AAA batteries to run the clock instead of USB, or use both, in which case the batteries will act as a backup power supply in case of a power failure. Also the thermometer seems to be accurate, when I compare it to another thermometer I have in my bedroom. However, there are a few details that can be improved upon. The clock does not completely match the description in the manual. There is no way to set the brightness of the screen. Also the buttons operate in a slightly different way than the manual states, but still quite (perhaps even more) intuitive. As the clock is too bright for me at night, I use the sound activation feature. This turns off the display, unless you create a sound, e.g. clap your hands from across the room, or tap on the clock. In that case the display lights up for 30 seconds. Two other things in the manual that I cannot reproduce are workday-only alarms, and displaying the year (other than in the setup). These are minor inconveniences. As a work-around for the alarms, the clock does enable you to store 3 alarm times, which you can enable and disable independently. So you can set your weekend alarm time and workday alarm time, BUT you have to manually enable/disable them on Friday and Sunday, so that the right alarm is active...
