PoppyAnn @Selenochka Most inverters can cope with double the rate of their standard rate for a very short time around 3 to 5 seconds which allowed them to start motors as most motor's require up to double their operating current .

PoppyAnn Germanplugs only have two pins but are still grounded, the ground connection is made on the side of the plug when you plug them in the main part of the plug gets pushed into the socket where the ground connection is made on devices that are double insulated just use the two pins but still use the same socket but do not make a connection with the ground, here in UK we have lots of items that do not have a ground connection but still use the same 3 pin plug but if you open the plug you will find there is no wire going to the ground connection.
