secret2475 It can surely handle the voltage input and output no problem. However, the low voltage cutoff will be wrong since it is meant to work with Lipo and NiMH. So you will have to monitor the voltage another way and not rely on built in cut off.

secret2475 I just got a few red and green strips, just did a quick test on 12v from a 3s lipo. Half the strand looks great, but past half it fades SUPER fast and the last LEDs are basically off. I find that odd. Not sure why yet, but be warned. EDIT: Found the problem, each end of these strips has bare wires, one end had been soldered together when they were tinned by the maker. Removed the solder and now they work great on 3S and not too bad on 2S. I don't think I'd go lower than 2S.

Q: Do you need a RC license to fly this plane in the United States?

secret2475 No, not when operated in a non-commercial aspect. These awesome minis fall under the 'non-regulated' portion of UAS in FAA rules. Meaning no registration, no remote ID, etc. Fly safe, fly smart! fpvfc.org *slash* sub-250g-regulations

secret2475 The RTR version comes with a 130 motor, kit comes with 180 motor, the rubber tires on the kit version are much nicer softer material, and the kit version comes with a proper steering servo instead of the bang-bang style steering on the RTR. In other words, the kit has several upgraded parts that most people would upgrade on the RTR version.
