I have tried using magnifying glasses to assist me with soldering surface mount components but they always seem to get in the way of carrying out the job at hand. Purchased this microscope to see if this would be more beneficial and I have been pleasantly surprised. Excellent image on built in display of through a USB connection to computer although I use the built in display as it feels more natural in terms of placement when soldering. Reasonably stable for the price. Happy with purchase.
