The DHT22 temperature and humidity sensor is well assembled and there are no visible production flaws. I have used it in projects with a Wemos D1 mini (ESP8266) to measure temperature and humidity in each room of my appartment. The board and sensor were powered by a Li-Ion battery over the 3.3V connector. When comparing to other room temperature and humidity devices the temperature was withing +- 0.5°C and the humidity was +- 2% range. So the measurements were all in acceptable range and did not differ massively for a valid determination of the correct values. However, when the battery has drained enough power and the voltage goes below 3.3V the sensor's humidity value increases rapidly (+90%) while the temperature value stays correct. This is a very unpleasant behavior, especially when you are not near the sensor and you don't know why humidity has risen so high... I'd rather have no values instead of wrong values when the input voltage is too low. Had to check battery status within the software in order to ignore sensor values if below 3.3V. Nevertheless it's a good sensor when steady power is supplied to it.
