    Great little device, makes knifes/screwdriver bits glow in seconds. Works as described, >100W for 12V, seems to be around 200kHz when idle - haven't checked it under load.

    The unit oscillates with frequency 157 kHz according to my scope. At 6.5 V the current 1.65 A goes across 1 mm wire coil (12 turns diameter 1.5 cm). After insertion of thin steel wire the current rises to 3.5 A and red glow emerges fast. Under these conditions the unit can run for an infinite time - it gets warm, but the active cooling is not actually necessary. I haven't tested it at higher voltage/currents yet - anyway it seems, it's a good, reliable product, professionally assembled with caution.

    Генератор построенный на основе обычного двухтранзисторного мультивибратора, для тех кто разбирается в электронике, то ничего сложного, а для тех, для кого это незнакомые термины, то в двух словах — простая и надежная схема, работающая «из коробки». На плате генератора размещена сборка из емкостей. Вторая деталь — катушка колебательного контура. Соединяются обе детали винтовым разъемом. Размер миниатюрный 5.5 см на 4 см и толщиной 2 см. Диаметр катушки 2.8 см, длина 7.5 см. Питание устройства 5-12В, ток до 5А. Т.е. максимальная потребляемая мощность может составить 12В х 5А = 60Вт. Это потребление не самой яркой лампочки накаливания. Много это или мало? Давайте прикинем на пальцах. Современная сталелитейная промышленность в среднем тратит 650 кВтч на плавку 1 тонны стали, т.е. 650 Втч на 1 кг или 65 Втч на плавку 100 грамм. Таким образом наша малявка при должном подходе и минимизации теплопотерь в атмосферу за час может расплавить чуть меньше 100 грамм стали. Очень и очень недурственно. Казалось бы 60 Вт потребляемой мощности и 100 грамм расплавленной стали. Мне индукционный нагреватель понравился. Для домашнего использования мне лично пригодится однозначно. Я периодически нуждаюсь в необходимости закалить какую-либо небольшую деталь (ось накатки для токарника, например). И этот способ мне нравится больше горелки в домашних условиях. Также я получил большое удовольствие от процесса созидания из обломков пилки и ненужных ключей качественно новых вещей.

    Fonctionne bien, prévoir une alim de 6 à 7 A sous 12V. ATTENTION : Mettre une capa de 470 à 1000 µF aux bornes de l'alim du module sinon des fois il ne démarre pas

    It worked right out of the box smoothly and efficiently. I always use it at 12 Volts, I have soldered the induction coil on the board (I don't use the terminal block), and the max current I have ever seen is about 6-7 Amperes. As other reviewers have noted, DO NO raise the voltage slowly, as it fails to oscillate and burns out. Anyway, in case you manage :-))) to burn it (like I did, most probably shorting something), here is my post on how you can repair it: https://forum.banggood.com/forum-topic-358064.html.     Just follow instructions: Do NOT slowly raise suplly voltage from 0 to 12! This destroyed mine - the device requires a glich in suplly to start. Ortherwise it will not start properly and burn the power FET

    For those wondering of the 3 connectors in the output block which of the two to use it is the outer two connectors --leave the middle one alone. I had connected the middle and one of the outer connectors and the result was smoke and the ever increasing pitch of a camera flash charging. Fortunately it still worked after re configuring the coil connections. Yeah I see some of the user's photo now after the fact but thought would mention. Good stuff to see how induction heating works.

    works well, It can pushed to 100W heating power. You must power it up with a quick ramp voltage source . e.g. DO NOT connect power cables and then switch on a lab power generator: it won't start oscillating properly and you will fry the mosfet, instead switch the power supply on, then connect the wirings

    I installed the coil in a old projector case. The power supply from an old computer. the induction coil working great.

    this circuit is really astonishing. I purchased it for curiosity and not for a real need. I powered it with a 12Vdc 3 amps switching power supply and in 10 seconds I had a screw that increased its temperature till to have the classic orange color of melting metal. The coil also became quite hot, but the circuit works very well. very satisfied questo circuito è davvero sorprendente. L'ho acquistato per curiosità e non per un bisogno reale. L'ho alimentato con un alimentatore a commutazione a 12Vdc 3 ampere e in una decina di secondi ho avuto una vite che ha aumentato la sua temperatura fino ad avere il classico colore arancione del metallo che fonde. Anche la bobina è diventata piuttosto calda, ma il circuito funziona molto bene. molto soddisfatto
