I bought this as I was tired of parting off pieces by hand. Tested when received Appart from the bad smell everything looked ok Once mounted, squared and set at center i put a piece of scrap mild steel already drilled (4 mm wall thickness ) Broach at low RPM and slow hand feed, lots of oil, 0.5 mm in and fist insert shattered I took it as a lack of experience and retied after tidying up the holder, damaged by the shattered insert Second try : Same result, 1mm in I tried one last time after checking everything : same result I did not tried it on other metals, but I quite disappointed, I expected better results as it is only mild steel and not thick material. My advice : Avoid this and put a bit more money, some tools have better review
