If you need to measure small internal or external dimensions and don't want to spend a fortune this is a great item to have. There is only one small down-side and tht is it turns itself on with any movement of the slide so it must be kept somewhere it can not be knocked or moved. I now use a small clip around the internal measuring calipers but a small elastic band would also work. For the price it can't be beaten.
