The LEDs I received draw about 27W @33V and about 44W @35V (couldn't do 34v with the power supply I had) which is not THAT bad but also not what is advertised.

davids Agreed - it's not a bad deal for a few bucks, but it'd be nice if they advertised them for what they are - half of what they advertise.

Charles There's widespread misunderstanding about LEDs, voltage and current. The voltage is quite critical and varies with temperature, so you need to regulate the current instead. The LED will do 50W, but perhaps it's one volt either side of the spec. You simply make sure the forward current is sufficient to make I x V = 50W.
