Into the package is provided a piece of black acrylic (about 5 by 9 centimeters) that you can use al shim. To properly setup the laser: - Release the two screws that fix the laser sled, raise completely the laser.and re-fix screws - Place the object you want to engrave-cut under the laser - Place the black acrylic jig over the object - Release the laser sled screws and lower the laser until it touch the jig. - Fix the screws and remove the black acrylic jig. Now you che start the job. If the object to be engraved is very thin, instruction recommend, to avoid vibrations, to raise it placing another taller object under it, so the laser is less protruding from the carriage.
