freddy Thankyou very much for sharing that information. I was able to get this soldering iron to work on my Velleman VTSSC60 (PTC resistance output). I replaced the heater with a ceramic 2 core (the same as the original one) and rewired accordingly. Wires from pins 1 and 2 are connected to one end of the heater and wires from pins 3 and 4 are connected to the other end of the heater.
