My old knees are worn out from 20 years of carpet laying, so I tried these strap-on-knees. They are helpful when returning to a standing position from a kneeling or crouching position. When fully compressed each one offers about 15 (6-7 kilos) pounds of stored energy to assist the return to standing . I weigh 200 lbs and they make it seem like I'm 30 pounds lighter when standing back up. They also add support for standing, walking, and climbing stairs. The straps seem to be of decent quality, strong, secure, but they do shift a bit. They are not very uncomfortable but they are there. All in all, I like them and I need them for my work (flooring) where I go up and down all day long.

strongheart WATNING>The day I wrote this review I put the braces on and noticed they weren't as springy. The springs had broken. The day before I spent mostly on the ground working on a motorcycle. I think I can replace the springs with better ones. I still like the product, and I think I can make it better.

strongheart They come in pairs, both knees - but not so quickly. Each has 15 lbs (7 kilos) of force effectively making me 30 pounds lighter when I return to standing from a squatting position. They make it easier to stand up. I like them.
