Q: klamp reed volt Dc Or Amper only

perguntado por فهد باصبرين sobre 2018-08-29 03:43:46

Kukawa Not sure if this is what you mean, but the clamp (jaw) is used to measure amperage only. You can measure voltage using normal cable probes. Additionally, this meter can detect the presence of voltage using non-contact method, which actually is not related to the clamp itself. See the video included in the description to see this feature.

Q: What does 2.5% + 5 means? Any example?

Kukawa It's accuracy indication. It means that the readings might be inaccurate by 2,5% of the measured value (sometimes: of the range max value) and by additional 5 counts/digits of the display. For example, you measure a current flow that is known to be exactly 20A. The range you use is 60A, so knowing the "max display" (counts) of 6000 from the spec., you know that there will be two decimal places in your value (because the max value of this range is 59,99A). In this case, the multimeter will show you a reading of 20±0,55 A (calculated as 2,5%*20A=0,50A and the additional 5 "counts" makes it 0,55A). The range that you use is of huge importance here, because measuring the same current of 20A using 100A range, with max counts of 6000, the max displayed value can be only 99,9, so you have one decimal place. Therefore, the uncertainty would be 2,5%*20A=0,5A and the additional 5 "counts" will this time add to the tenths instead of hundreths, so the displayed value might be 20±1A.
