Ysabet The fabric is a 100% cotton fabric, which can wrinkle. I think the type of fabric lends itself to wrinkles and adds to the charm of the garment. I washed it and it didn't wrinkle any further. Cold water wash and dried in dryer and it didn't shrink either. But, it can be ironed.
