ChiefH I have the same problem and no resolution. I have two units and neither work, they are just trash. Two of them and they DO NO WORK. Part of the problem is (per the published specifications) that the motor needs 6-Volts and the battery compartment only holds three 1.5-Volt batteries. So the supplied Voltage is only 4.5-Volts max which is not enough. Do No Buy these
