Hi The device works for what i been using it for. I am able to read the chips from old computers 24 and 28 pin and so far make a few eproms. The 8k uv eprom sometimes difficult to read. the pins need to be perfect clean and adjust to get the pins to read. i did newer 64k winbond chips and they are good no problems making chips. the basic kit is good for me. maybe one day do more and get the accessories. This is newest version of this device and seems legit and did firmware update on the devices software
