Working in windows 7 no special driwers needet to install just stock windows driwers are working. As programing software i used CHIRP (downloaded from Baofeng site). Much better and faster then manual programing. Just plug in and upload your bandplan. Great! Packing is good enaugh too. Packet in plastic bag and then in several layers of soft foam for protection.

I used it with CHIRP software to programme my UV-5R radio, it worked without having to use the supplied CD and automatically loaded the correct driver for the USB-Serial device. Good cable, is used here to program the Baofeng BF-E90. With Chirp software, latest version on the internet. Device to choose to connect the BF-E90 in Chirp is the BF-888 then it can be connected and programmed.

My usb to serial converter is broken. Cant install with win7, usb device not recognized. Quality control is bad. But the cable is stil usable. I did solder it to another 3.3V usb-serial converter and now it works fine. You may have to swap rx and tx lines. Soft on disk is fine. I had no problem programming the 777. Even euro split channel repeater freqs are no problem.
