This product used to be a V1 of this sensor, but it has since been replaced by the V1.1 with a smaller DHT12 and components has been rearranged, and I'll be reviewing the V1 version. The sensor itself works like a charm. I don't use it with battery, though, but as of now, it sits in the soil of one of my plants, with two "dumb" capacitive soil moisture sensors attached to it, and every hour it measures the soil and uploads the data to a MySQL database. The documentation for this sensor is very poor. Don't expect any official software to work, but if you're experienced with the Arduino IDE, you can use it like a regular ESP32. If you combine the documentation from a stand alone ESP32 with the documentation from the stand alone capacitive soil moisture sensors, you can combine it and get the results you want. Next improvement to the project, will be notifications to my phone about moisture levels, and automatic watering. I love my V1, and would have liked to buy more of them, but if BangGood can't get anymore of the old version, I'll have to try a V1.1 All in all, the product is great and works as it should.
This product needs documentation. One demonstration Arduino IDE program is not documentation. At ;east put a lot of comments in the program to explain how it works.
The module arrived on time and the packaging and delivery were OK. It looks very good but I still haven't tested it. Is there any software installed? The link https://github.com/LilyGO/higrowopen is from 3 years ago and the module version is from September 2019. There is no documentation included. Can you please provide me with current documentation on my e-mail? I will update the review after I test the module.
Está tudo bem. Obrigado
haven't tried but it isn't broken so hope it works fine
Erhalten wie bestellt.
Foi feita uma longa pesquisa para encontrar o software ok (verifique Github líly ir)
Fast and accurate delivery. The products are functioning correctly. As there is little information about how to use this device if you are using Arduino IDE, maybe it's best to follow these instructions: https://randomnerdtutorials.com/installing-the-esp32-board-in-arduino-ide-windows-instructions/ After installing all the necessary libraries, under Tools, Boards, you should select ESP32 Wrover Module. At least this works for me. Under Linux and Windows. Example code: https://github.com/lucafabbri/HiGrow-Arduino-Esp In general no objections regarding the seller, but I hope the developer will make next revision of the device, regarding the issue where sensors draw the power from the battery when esp32 is in a deep sleep...
Initial test shows it to work well, I wish there would be more documentation, like which Io pins are used for the dh11 and the soil humidity sensor, also how to connect it to your mobile like shown in the photos
found the project on https://github.com/lucafabbri/HiGrow-Arduino-Esp now just have to print the case ...
