This is a generic version of a name-brand Jacobs chuck that goes for about $100. I'm amazed at how well made it is given it's a quarter of the cost. The jaws come together precisely and hold small bits well. It can be a little difficult to tighten in a drill press, it's tough to hold onto the thin knurled ring at the top. If it becomes difficult I just pop open the top and grip the pulley, makes it real easy. This actually works better for small drill presses that have less vertical room. The only defect I can see is how the top ring isn't entirely square with the shaft and thus wobbles a bit as it spins. It doesn't cause any vibration and it isn't an issue with the actual mechanism, I believe it's only on the outer ring and is purely cosmetic. For 1/4 the price you can't beat it!
