The adapter arrived in good condition. However addressing the adapter was not as expected as many examples show (0x27 does not display the text). After I2C scanning I found out the correct address 0x3F and then everything worked fine.

Just soldered it to my LCD 16x2 and it works great.

The board worked upon receiving the unit. The header is a problem to remove if you don't have a good desoldering tool. I had to remove the header because the LCD display also had a header. Good thing I am an electronic technician and was able to use equipment at my work to remove the header.

once you find the address. use an i2c scanner sketch to find it and verify they connect. Also make sure you turn up the contrast first time you use them..
