This car dvr is ok. Only records in vga (480p).. Hd and full hd is just stretched version. The camera quality is similar to 12 year old mobile phone. The number plate is only readable if the vehicle is stopped upto 10 feet in front. Could not read the opposite direction vehicle plates. Daytime camera is ok, night time the picture is ok if there are street lights. Otherwise you only see road where your headlights are focused. Would advise you to buy this only if you want video evidence on accidents,
