To the naked eye these torches look terribly weak... like trying to use the glow of a burning cigarette to see in the dark. But these are both bright in frequencies human eyes cannot see so we just see a weak glow, but through night vision devices and IR capable cameras they are bright like spotlights. You can use these torches to light up dark areas, but people without night vision devices will just think are dark. It is different from thermal imaging. Using these torches together with optical night vision equipment including new digital night vision devices means you can see in totally dark areas with a high quality view without spending thousands of dollars.
