This one worked right from go. You will need to adjust the IF cans to get the reception . Good case that closes well with a good fit. The 1950's blue colour is a plus too. Antenna coil is well put together...but take care in mounting the 4 wires to the A B. C. D terminals. A and D are easy... I managed to reverse B and C. It was a fun build that took about 2 hours. I would buy this again, build it and send it to a friend as an xmas gift. Its cool.

This is a fine kit to do as a learning exercise. The radio does actually work, we can get 2 channels and it is very tinny, but I think that is a good result! I built this with my 10-year-old, he soldered and I supervised. He is very excited that it works. Note the instructions are in Chinese, and although the position of components is marked on the board I would have come unstuck several times without the various youtubes and web pages you can find on this kit (look for HX-6B).
