Works great on the rear signal lights only if both bulbs are replaced at the same time. Otherwise flasher flashes too fast. Much better than incandescent bulbs because LED bulbs are instant on and off and that catches your attention more compared to warmup and cooldown on incandescent bulbs. Brightness is very close. Very happy with them.

Just got two of these to try out in my VW LT35 Van, but when installed as turn indicators they increased the flash rate by about twice for some reason. They are supposed to be 12 volt but are performing like 6 volt, and that could be why the flash rate has doubled! Disappointed that they don't work as expected! They are now installed as reversing lights and seem to be fine.

These lights work well, are bright, pull 0.240 A @ 13.7V (3.3W input). They spread the light in a very usable pattern for a taillight or backup light. These are only good for interment duty, like reverse or break lights, and not for continuous duty over a couple minutes. I bought these to use in overhead lighting in an RV. The color is a strong cool white, but the heat dissipation is very bad. After 5 min, they are too hot to touch. Otherwise they are great, but unuseable as a general light. I'm going to have to use something else than these for my overhead lighting..

This bulb has the same length as the original 1156 bulb that I pulled out. If you can't tell from the picture, this bulb has two notches spaced 180° from one another. The notches are both the same distance from the base of the bulb. The LED's are very bright. Time will tell, but so far this bulb is working very nicely.
