Made of plastic material. Seems well made. The blade is good quality too but not sharp when it arrived. You need to sharpen it properly to be of any use. There is one drawback however. The plastic wedge does not seem to hold the metal blade in place during use, the blade starts to shift. Therefore you need to tighten the wedge every now and then.
