I just tested the module with Flysky baseplate in a Turnigy 9x and works perfectly with syma x5c y x5sw, turnigy 9x8ch y D8R-II receivers!!

Great module. Worked out of the box. Only thing I did, was soldering the two jumpers for serial mode (next to Rx/Tx). Plus flashing a multimode-enabled firmware for my Taranis. Binds now with all my models (DSM, Eachine H10, Cheerson CX10, WLToys 959 + more) ;)

The module actually works great after updating it with newer firmware, solder pins & bridges for serial operation plus install custom firmware of OpenTX on your Taranis Plus ( http://bit.ly/2cOtEI1 - need FRSky versionof module). So get yourself an AVR programmer too when order it! In general there are 2 options... buy a cheap one (USBASP) and you have to make your own cable (10 -> 6 pin or like I did with jumper cables) or just get the better one called USBtinyISP what give you 6 & 10 pin sockets (USBtinyISP: http://bit.ly/2cZe3na ). Additional con on the cheaper USBASP is that you have to de-solder a fuse for 3V operation (NEEDED otherwise your module is dead) - on the USBtinyISP you just remove a jumper for 3V operation. The pins are easy to solder (6 pins) but the serial mode bridges should be done with care - this was in my eyes the most difficult part, all other steps were straight forward.

In 1-2 nights of time, I managed to solder on the ISP header pins, put the module in serial mode, read through the firmware compilation and flashing instruction, and also flashed my turnigy 9x radio to er9x test build, and now i can successfully control: - flysky - dsm2 (iRangeX RM601) - eachine h8 mini - eachine e010 - hisky hcp100 FROM A SINGLE RADIO AND A SINGLE MODULE!!!!!! This is just freaking amazing!

I have been following the rcgroups thread for a while and was pleased when I got my module. It fits my Taranis Plus and works out of the box. But keep in mind you have to change the OpenTX Version and solder the two Rx/Tx jumpers in order to get the serial funtionality. This way you can select the (sub-)protocol through the model menu instead of the rotary switch. Also be aware that not all protocols fit the flash memory of the microprocessor. If you want i.e. the YD717 to be able to bind a CX-10 (red pcb) you need to flash the module firmware yourself.

Have installed it my Taranis. Used the FlyEky FS-rm002 as a donor for the box. Dremeled out a little to fit the antenna connector and drilled holes for the rotary switch and LEDs (the hole for the Bind button was the same as for the Flysky board.) Tested on ny WLtoys V931 heli and it binded. Haven't done any range testes yet.

This module is awesome! I have written an installation and configuration guide for this module: https://nathan.vertile.com/blog/2016/09/01/diy-4-in-1-module-with-er9x

This is an awesome module for transmitters. I can fly almost every model in my collection. There are a couple that don't work but support is added every day. Why can't these companies just use one protocol? Pick a few that are common and stick with it. Anyways, the 4in1 module works fantastic. Flash your transmitter to a firmware that supports the 4in1 module. Solder the 2 TX/RX pads to allow serial mode so you can select the protocol in the transmitter menu. It's pretty simple. A lot easier than adding modules to the Devo radios.
